"Feminism" is a dirty word.
Young girls are inundated with messages that they will never be
pretty enough
sexy enough
skinny enough
perfect enough
and that they will spend the rest of their lives trying to get there.
Equality of the sexes has become comedic material
and teenage girls are chastised if they don't laugh along.
There is a common, lazy, ignorant disregard for the importance of the minds and the potential of women.
Today. In the 21st century.
Women Are More Than Their Bodies.
And we need to do all we can
To make sure that this problem isn't around
Tomorrow.
Body Paragraphs is dedicated to promoting a healthy, realistic body image for women and to confronting the problems that tie us to an antiquated, ignorant view of women's roles in society.
